BBC Radio 5 Stephen Nolan: Threats to the Strait of Hormuz

The overwhelming military might that the United States and Israel in this war can turn on Iran is pretty impressive and they have degraded the Iranian military capabilities very, very significantly. But that doesn't mean that everything is eliminated. The residual threats may come from proxies. It may come from small pockets of operatives. It may have come from the IRGC, the guard service that's operating in parts of Iran that remain loyal to the regime. So even if there is a complete regime change, which looks incredibly unlikely at the moment, there still could be some pockets of resistance that could affect the flow of traffic through the strait.
