Profession of Arms Programme
The Profession of Arms programme brings together defence practitioners and policymakers to discuss today’s live defence questions.
RUSI has been a cornerstone of knowledge-sharing and dialogue in defence since its establishment in 1831 by the Duke of Wellington. RUSI's Profession of Arms programme aims to uphold this legacy by fostering crucial conversations at the policymaking level, nurturing an environment ready for innovation.
While the Institute's origins centred on bridging the Army and Navy, today's focus is on aligning all services and commands with industry to project force across multiple domains: land, air, sea, space and cyber. With global adversaries on the rise and diverse theatres demanding various capabilities, procurement and doctrine questions are more pressing than ever.
Through the Profession of Arms programme, RUSI endeavours to enhance UK and allied conceptual fighting power and equip decision-makers for the challenges ahead.
Our event series provides a platform for both on- and off-the-record exchanges between experts and leading practitioners in UK Defence.
