Following US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth's address at the NATO HQ on Wednesday, Dr Jack Watling shares his view on the implications for European security.

In his speech, Secretary Hegseth indicated a number of concessions to the Russians before negotiations had begun. In this video commentary, Dr Watling explains the considerations that ministries of defence around Europe will need to take and what discussions will likely be made at the Munich Security Conference and NATO Summit later in 2025.
