The private sector provides a large variety of goods and services vital to the generation and use of military capability and absorbs over 60% of the UK defence budget. How that money is used has important consequences for the efficient and effective delivery of defence, foreign and economic policy. Our work provides insight into the different acquisition and industrial approaches suitable for the wide range of equipment, infrastructure and services involved.
