China’s People’s Liberation Army at the Crossroads


The United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) released its 2008 Report on China to Congress at a press conference on 20 November. The report was designed to highlight the USCC’s conclusions and recommendations about the direction of US-China relations. The USCC report underlined growing concern over China’s use of cyber attack to penetrate US government networks, and the potential military applications of China’s space programme.
