Two years ago, RUSI and Chatham House joined together for a research project supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York that interviewed scores of policymakers to evaluate allies’ attempts to align China policy in the areas of economics, security and global governance.

The conclusions of this research are presented in a paper entitled ‘Transatlantic China Policy: In Search of an Endgame’. The authors will discuss the main findings of the paper during the webinar.

The panellists include:

  • Philip Shetler-Jones, Senior Research Fellow, Indo-Pacific Security, RUSI
  • Andrew Cainey, Senior Associate Fellow at RUSI; Founding Director of the UK National Committee on China
  • Ben Bland, Director, Asia-Pacific Programme, Chatham House
  • Winnie King, Senior Lecturer in Chinese International Political Economy, University of Bristol
