Biography

Tom Layhe is an MSc student at the London School of Economics, RUSI NextGen Ambassador, and British Army Reservist. He graduated from King's College London with a BA (Hons) War Studies, where he was awarded the 'Sir Michael Howard Award for Best Graduating Student'. Whilst at King's, he worked as a Richmond Fellow with the Royal Navy Strategic Studies Centre to write his dissertation on nuclear deterrence policy. This dissertation was published in the Naval Review in 2023, and provided the foundation for his presentation at the PONI Conference later that year. He is continuing this research at LSE.
