The large number of long-range strike capabilities positioned near the Ukrainian border are a critical component of Russia's operational approach to warfare, says Dr Sidharth Kaushal, RUSI Research Fellow for Sea Power.
In this video commentary, he explains that, should conflict break out, it is highly likely we'll see Iskander missile launchers being used on a large scale to deliver shock and paralyse Ukraine’s response capabilities. This will exacerbate the humanitarian consequences of any Russian incursion.
