Overall I think you have to look at phase one of operations from the initial invasion on Thursday to around Monday evening when we saw the tactics change. In phase one the Russian military have underperformed badly against expectations and it really is a complete failure to plan for this type of operation. Multiple things have gone wrong at the operational and tactical levels - though we're seeing now a change in tactics as of Monday which is a heavy use of artillery and firepower and heavier use of forces. The difficulty is that the operational troops can change tactics and adapt relatively quickly; the logistics can't and we are still seeing problems of the logistics that are really hampering Russian advances in the north east and south of the country..."
