What is really important though is how this is then enforced. We saw in 2019 when a ban on pension cold calling was introduced that pension cold calling still happens. The ICO who are in charge of enforcing it have issued some fines against firms, but it’s not a problem that has gone away. So it will be really crucial that this will be enforced and action is taken against those that continue to perpetrate these mass calls to victims.
