Known for 'Hawkish Foreign Policy' Like Margaret Thatcher, Liz Truss Takes Office as UK's Prime Minister

Neil Melvin, director of International Security Studies at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) said Truss is likely to call out China. "Liz Truss is a more hawkish person than Boris Johnson, the former prime minister," Melvin told the Associated Press. "She has, for example, committed to increasing the threat perception of China. So China will be recognized under her premiership, she's indicated, as a threat to the UK."
