The Changing Nature of Intelligence Programme
This programme seeks to understand how the proliferation of data and digital tools is changing the nature of intelligence inside and outside of government.
As part of this programme we are looking at how the UK Security Community can better harness Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) for defence and security purposes. This research, in co-operation with the Alan Turing Institute, was born from research conducted with a wide range of participants across the UK government, private sector OSINT practitioners and not for-profit organisations.
Other work includes academic articles on how these new Open Source investigative techniques can be used to track sanctions evasion activity, to be published in the American Intelligence Journal.Â
