Africa in Perspective Programme
We take an in-depth look at the evolving nature of conflict and security in key regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Africa in Perspective Programme examines emerging conflict and security trends across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, East Africa and the Sahel. As Africa faces growing security, development and political challenges, the Programme explores approaches to conflict prevention and conflict management, including the role of regional and international peace operations. The growing role of international security actors, including Russia, China and Middle Eastern and Gulf states – alongside established actors from Europe as well as the US – is a further area of focus.
