The event brought together researchers and practitioners to discuss examples and challenges in the theory and practice of cyber statecraft.

The discussion addressed the following questions:

  • How do regional particularities affect the way in which countries conduct cyber statecraft?
  • What is the role of private companies in cyber statecraft?
  • How can the UK government embrace cyber statecraft to further UK national interests and shape global cyber security and governance?

This event was funded by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory through the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, in partnership with the Research Institute for Sociotechnical Cyber Security.
