Recording: Strengthening Resilience to Violent Extremism (STRIVE II) Kenya: Project Closing Lessons Learned and Evaluation
16 September 2020210 Minute Watch
This online conference examined the lessons learned from STRIVE II Kenya, the pioneering RUSI-led programme to counter violent extremism.
STRIVE II Kenya (Strengthening Resilience to Violent Extremism) is the follow-on programme to STRIVE Horn of Africa, the first EU funded countering violent extremism (CVE) programme in the region.
The programme came to a close after four years and this conference sought to discuss lessons learned from STRIVE II Kenya in the following areas:
- mentorship of at-risk youth,
- law enforcement capacity building,
- preventive communication and
- research into radicalisation and recruitment.
Through brief presentations by project leads, key lessons will be discussed and findings from an external evaluation of the programme will be presented. Join us for the final conference of this CVE programme.
