Biography

Vlada Yaremenko is a Russia Sanctions Implementation Project Officer at the Centre for Finance and Security at RUSI, managing the portfolio of Russia sanctions projects, including the technical assistance program and Euro SIFMANet (European Sanctions and Illicit Finance Monitoring and Analysis Network). She leads the implementation of workshops and supports outreach to key stakeholders. Vlada is also aiding the implementation of project SMURF (Supervising and Monitoring Ukraine’s Reconstruction Funds) which focuses on strengthening the integrity of the financial system in Ukraine.

Prior to joining RUSI, Vlada worked as a Business Development Manager for the Economic Development Corporation of Utah where her focus was on spurring economic growth in the state, concentrating on projects and companies in Financial Services, Aerospace & Defence, and Manufacturing sectors. She has also worked with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy in Washington D.C., on projects with the UN and UN Women in the United States, and with a developmental humanitarian NGO in India.

Vlada holds a BA (Summa Cum Laude) in International Studies with a minor in Music from the University of Utah and an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics. At LSE, Vlada completed a project with the Disasters Emergency Committee focusing on multipurpose cash assistance in Ukraine.
