Assessing the Implications of Army 2020


On the 5th of July 2012, the Defence Secretary, Phillip Hammond, announced the outcome of the Army 2020 Review. Setting out the most far reaching reforms in a generation, the plans promise a smaller, more integrated and an adaptable force.

The number of regular soldiers will be cut by 20,000. RUSI's Director general, Professor Michael Clarke, assesses the implications this will have for UK Defence.
