On the front line of a secret undersea battle with Russia

Trevor Taylor, a senior director at London’s RUSI defence think tank, says that Russia has already “spotted the undersea cable vulnerability of the West”. “There will be people, elements in Russia saying, ‘let’s threaten them’”, he says. “Because it’s not expensive for Russia, comparatively. They don’t depend on international trade using those cables in the way that we do.”
