Justin Bronk, analyst with the Royal United Services Institute, a think-tank, said: “The UK could theoretically choose to fund both a new combat aircraft through team Tempest and a full 138 F-35 order but it would require a significant increase in the defence budget, or major capability cuts elsewhere.”
