The Much Anticipated Decline of the Dollar?

The future role of the US dollar, due to the financial crisis hitting the US and former Wall Street giants such as Lehman Brothers failing, is under debate, with some analysts suggesting that its reign is over. Yet it is distinctly evident that as from other past crises, the US dollar has benefitted from this one. With the Euro still unable to prove a stable store of value and the financial crisis taking its toll on post-Olympic China, the US dollar will remain the world economy’s staple well into this century.
