An exclusive roundtable discussion with His Excellency Tobias Billström, Foreign Minister of Sweden
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine was an irreversible turning point for European and global security. As a direct result of this illegal and indefensible war of aggression, Sweden became a member of NATO on 7 March 2024.
The Foreign Minister reflected on Sweden’s foreign policy priorities, offering perspectives on threats to European security today and in the future. He will discuss Sweden’s continued support for Ukraine, contributions to NATO as an ally, and how Sweden and the UK as close allies in NATO and beyond can work together to deal with the challenges we face.
About the speaker
His Excellency Mr Tobias Billström was appointed Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs in October 2022. Previously, he served as Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy (2006-2014).
