Waterloo Week at RUSI


Starting on 9 June, RUSI will be hosting a special week of events to mark the historic victory of its founder, the Duke of Wellington, at the Battle of Waterloo.

Waterloo Week Exhibition

09 June - 18 June
The Royal United Services Institute is delighted to host this timely exhibition, upon the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. The Duke of Wellington was instrumental in the founding of the Institute, which today continues to embody forward thinking, free discussion and careful reflection on defence and security matters.

This exhibition, held in partnership with the Guards Museum, showcases items ranging from medals, prints, paintings and other battlefield related artefacts that help to convey this decisive battle and its impact, which the Duke of Wellington described as ‘the nearest run thing you ever saw in your life’

Waterloo Anniversary Dinner

Held in partnership with The Guards Museum, this unique event will commemorate the bi-centenary of one of Britain’s most famous land victories and showcase artefacts and exhibits from both collections. Plus music and contributions from Battle of Waterloo experts
