Testing the UK's response to a global flu outbreak

The scenario covered a 10-month period from July 2006 to May 2007, and was divided into the following sections: the pre-pandemic stage; an initial 'Wave 1' foreign outbreak; the pandemic reaching the UK; and an interpandemic stage. The simulation took on an international perspective on vaccine development, drug supplies, regulatory issues and overseas national developments due to the global nature of the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
