RUSI Welcomes Sir Kevin Tebbit as Senior Associate Fellow


Former civilian head of the UK Ministry of Defence joins RUSI as Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute.

Sir Kevin Tebbitt KCB CMGSir Kevin Tebbit KCB CMG has been named Senior Associate Fellow at RUSI. Sir Kevin had a long career with the UK Government, specialising in defence and security policy, diplomacy and intelligence. For over seven years, he was Permanent Under Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. Sir Kevin is now engaged in a variety of activities in the private and public sectors, spanning defence and security issues, advanced engineering, manufacturing and technology.

Welcoming Sir Kevin, RUSI Director-General Professor Michael Clarke said:

 'I'm delighted to welcome Sir Kevin Tebbit to work with RUSI in his capacity as a Senior Associate Fellow.  His experience at the highest levels in government and at the sharp end of policy making it worth its weight in gold to a thinktank.  He also brings his unparalleled commercial experience after his years at the head of the UK's Finmeccanica.  We are greatly looking forward to working with him on our rapidly developing research agenda.'
