Nuclear Authority Breaks With Tradition

The new chief constable of the Civil Nuclear Police Authority has not previously served as a police officer. The authority is very different from conventional police forces, however, and needs a different type of chief constable. Richard Thompson OBE has extensive military and civil service experience that makes him more than qualified to fulfill this highly specialised role.
