Kate Clouston comes to the Institute after working for a private trust in Scotland. From 2003-2004 Kate was Head Researcher in the office of the Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP; Oliver was then Shadow Home Secretary and later Shadow Chancellor. Kate graduate from Georgetown University in 2003 from the School of Foreign Language and Linguistics with a BA in French and Italian. In 2005 Kate completed an MSc in European Politics and Governance at the London School of Economics. Her dissertation focused on Franco-British Defence Cooperation, specifically the St Malo Declaration. Kate will assist in the formulation of the programme’s events calendar. She will also pursue research into US-European security cooperation.
