Margaret Gilmore joins RUSI

Margaret Gilmore is joining RUSI in January 2009 as a Senior Research Fellow to analyse United Kingdom public policy in national security and resilience. Her work will specialise on governmental policy on counter-terrorism, emergency planning and the development of frameworks to promote social resilience.
As a new Senior Research Fellow in Public Policy Studies, Margaret Gilmore will lead a new RUSI initiative monitoring and analysing the Government’s approach to implementing the UK national security strategy. Providing briefings and research papers to examine how the machinery of government performs in this field, Margaret will work with the National Security and Resilience Department (formerly Homeland Security and Resilience Department) of the Institute and will also collaborate with other parts of the Institute to bring together all RUSI’s considerable research and networking resources on governmental security policies.
