Keynote Address at EAPC Meeting

Earlier this month Dr Michael Williams, the head of the Transatlantic Programme at the Institute, gave the keynote address at the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council meeting held in Montenegro. The meeting focused on developments in South-East Europe, the continued expansion of the Alliance and the future strategic challenges facing NATO.

Dr Williams spoke on the need to use the common values embodied in the Alliance, as well as cooperation on current operations, as a basis for the Alliance to open a discussion on future tasks and missions in advance of the upcoming 2009 NATO summit.
