Experts join RUSI
RUSI is pleased to welcome a series of leading experts who will further the Institute's work in key areas of research.
The leading writer, broadcaster and analyst Margaret Gilmore joins RUSI as a Senior Research Fellow analysing United Kingdom public policy in national security and resilience. She heads the Public Policy initiative, which will assess the government's performance in addressing national security issues and in implementing the National Security Strategy. More >
Rachel Briggs is also joining the National Security and Resilience Department to contribute to its work on radicalisation in western societies.
Rachel will be active on a number of projects focused on the prevent agenda. In particular, she will work on a three-year project exploring how experiences in other parts of the world, such as the Middle East and South Asia, may translate into the British context and help to create an international benchmark for academic research.

Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Mirza joins the International Security Studies Department as the 2009 Pakistan Visiting Fellow. He is an Assistant Professor of Defence and Strategic Studies at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and will be focusing on the causes of terrorism in Pakistan and their consequences at national and international level, furthering RUSI's work on South Asia.
