Peppi Vaananen
Biography
Peppi was a Project Officer for the Military Sciences research group providing support for the activities of Martial Power, Profession of Arms and Future Rules of War programmes. She left RUSI at the end of 2021.
Peppi has previously worked as a Human Rights Specialist and a Project Coordinator in the private sector. She also completed an internship in the Conflict, Security and Development Programme at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Peppi holds a MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and a BA in Social Sciences (International Relations and Intelligence) from Amsterdam University College. Her research focuses on how violent non-state actors challenge international humanitarian laws.
