Edmond Smith

Dr Edmond Smith completed his PhD the University of Cambridge and is currently Senior Lecturer in Economic Cultures at The University of Manchester. Edmond’s prize-winning research focuses on the emergence and development of globalised economic systems, with a particular focus on the relationship between social, political, and institutional factors in generating innovation and economic growth. Recently, he has contributed to the UK government’s 'Collective Intelligence' programme, as well as working with a number of policy and industry bodies interested in how long-term perspectives can inform economic security and innovation policy.
