Alexander Kohli

Major General Alexander Kohli, Swiss Armed Forces, is the Chief of the Armed Forces Staff in Berne, where he is responsible for implementation of the political directives and military-strategic instructions. He also ensures development, planning and resource allocation as well as steering of the armed forces and is accountable for defence sector management and control. He previously served as the commanding general of 4th Mechanized Brigade and holds a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) in Hydraulic and River Engineering, and an MAS in Global Security and Conflict Resolution from Geneva University.
