Andrew James

Andrew James is Professor of Innovation Management & Policy at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, based in the Alliance Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester. Andrew's research and teaching interests focus on corporate technology strategy, innovation management and science and technology policy, as well as business strategy. His work on the defence and aerospace sectors and defence, security and counter terrorism science and technology policy seeks to apply models and concepts from these academic disciplines. He has acted as an advisor to the UK Ministry of Defence, UK Defence Equipment & Support, UK Defence Science & Technology Laboratory, Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI), European Defence Agency, European Commission as well as a number of major aerospace and defence companies.
