Rose Gottemoeller
The Hon. Rose Gottemoeller is currently the Steven C Házy Lecturer at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and its Center for International Security and Cooperation, and a Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution. She served as Deputy Secretary General of NATO from 2016 to 2019, and was the US’s lead negotiator for the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (NEW START) in 2009-10, the first woman to hold either of those roles. She has also written widely on strategic affairs, holding research positions at the RAND Corporation, Georgetown University, the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
