Orso is RUSI Europe's project manager for the CT MORSE project, which provides coordination, monitoring and knowledge, as well as technical and implementation support interventions in the areas of counter-terrorism (CT) and preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE).
Orso obtained his BA in Political Sciences, International Relations and Human Rights from the University of Padova and an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King's College London, where he focused on CT and P/CVE and which he completed with a thesis entitled: "A Serious Game to Shape a Counter-Terrorism Citizen". Prior to joining RUSI in May 2023, he interned at the Guangzhou University Institute for Human Rights and worked as a Project Assistant and Junior Project Manager at SAFE Foundation, supporting the set-up and implementation of EU-funded projects in the areas of Security, Defense, Stabilization and Fundamental Rights. He then worked as a Project Manager for the City of Turin, Innovation and EU Funds Department, functioning as the point of contact for EU projects involving the Metropolitan Police, Technological Investigations Unit. He is fully fluent in English and Italian and has a good understanding of Spanish.
