Charlie de Rivaz
Research Analyst, Organised Crime and Policing
Charlie is a Research Analyst within the Organised Crime and Policing group at RUSI. His research focuses on transnational organised crime, cross-border trafficking and IUU fishing. He has conducted research in Southeast Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa, and has a particular interest in Latin America.
Charlie holds an MA (Distinction) in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London, where his dissertation explored the relationship between gender and atrocity in Sierra Leone. During his time at King’s he was Managing Editor of Strife Blog, a peer-reviewed blog about issues relating to conflict, and he also managed multimedia projects for the Department of War Studies. Charlie holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. He lived for three years in South America, working as a teacher and a journalist.
