Abdikadir Dakane

Abdikadir Dakane is the Lead Facilitator and Researcher for RUSI Nairobi. He is responsible for undertaking training on countering violent extremism for community leaders and security actors in Lamu County. He was also tasked with undertaking the research on barriers to reporting of suspicious activities in Lamu. Prior to taking these roles in 2021, Dakane was the lead researcher for Wasafiri on Pathways to Recruitment and Radicalization, as well as the Project Officer for the Coastal Interface Council of Clerics in Kenya, where he worked on reconciliation among the Muslim and Christian communities in Lamu.
