Biography
Jonathan joined Citibank in 2019, based in London, where he has global second-line oversight responsibility for sanctions compliance across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Commercial Banking businesses.
Previously, Jonathan was Citi’s Chief Sanctions Officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, where he monitored sanctions developments and implemented new sanctions regulations across 55 countries within the region.
Prior to joining Citi, Jonathan led the sanctions services portfolio within EY’s Financial Services Advisory practice in the US, and held several positions with the US Government, including senior sanctions policy roles within the US Treasury Department’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence as well as roles within the US State Department and in the US Senate.
