Thoughts on the Taskforce on a Transatlantic Response to Illicit Finance (TARIF):

quote
Kleptocracy ruins the lives of billions of people in developing countries, enriches a tiny number of crooks and thieves, and is enabled by a class of high-earning professionals in already rich places. It is one of the most pressing problems of our times but -- because it is transnational by nature -- it resists any attempt by individual countries to fight it. We need a transnational solution, and I'm delighted to be part of this diverse group of experts from both sides of the Atlantic. I hope that together we can do more to inspire and pressure politicians, regulators and law enforcement agencies to tackle kleptocrats, and dismantle kleptocracy.
