Lotje Boswinkel

Lotje Boswinkel is a PhD candidate and researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) at the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG-VUB). Previously, she worked as a strategic analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies. Lotje has written for the journal International Affairs and various think tanks and government institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Union Institute for Security Studies, the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington and the European Institute of the Mediterranean. Her research centres on alliances, protégé defence strategies, deterrence, and European defence and security.
