Research Fellow, National Security and Resilience

Alexander Babuta is a Research Fellow in the National Security and Resilience Studies group at RUSI. His research focuses on policing and security in the digital age, transnational organised crime and counter-terrorism. He holds an MSc with Distinction in Crime Science from University College London (UCL), where his dissertation explored the use of data science methods for risk assessment of missing children. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from UCL. Prior to joining the institute, Alexander worked for a Member of Parliament.
