Allen Antrobus

Allen joined Serco in Jan 2023 as Director Strategy for Air and Space which is a new position with the Serco’s Defence Team. His principal responsibility is to set the long-term strategic direction for Serco Defence and interact with the key UK and wider global customers. Prior to this, Allen worked for Airbus Defence and Space as Director Military Space. Allen supports the trade association body UKspace and is on a number of committees and working groups which seek to collectively support UK government’s space ambition.

Allen supports wider space security educational efforts through university lectures to staff and students at several universities and he is a Visiting Fellow at Plymouth University. In addition, Allen has been a regular participant of the US Space Force Shreiver Wargame and previously led the commercial team.

Prior to joining the commercial and academic world, Allen was a regular officer in the RAF for over 20 years initially training as a Fighter Controller and undertook several operational, training and staff roles across the UK and overseas. On leaving regular service, Allen worked for the UK Space Agency running a large EU programme. Allen remains an active reservist with No 600 (City of London) Squadron.
