Dr Philip Andrews-Speed
Philip is a Senior Research Fellow at the OIES. He has more than forty years’ experience in the field of energy and resources, starting his career as mineral and petroleum exploration geologist before moving into the field of energy and resource governance. His industry experience included mineral exploration in Zambia and petroleum exploration in Europe and China. His academic research has been directed at the governance and regulation of energy and resources with a focus on Asia, especially China. Philip holds a PhD in geology from the University of Cambridge and an LLM in Resources Law and Policy from the University of Dundee. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
