RUSI records with great sadness the passing of Professor Christopher Coker, a former member of the Council of the Royal United Services Institute.
A world-renowned scholar of war and strategy, Professor Coker was greatly admired for his sharp intellect as well as his dry humour.
As well as serving as a former RUSI Council member, Professor Coker was also a member of the Advisory Board of the RUSI Journal. He contributed to several RUSI publications over the years, including Empires in Conflict: The Rift between Europe and the United States (2003) and Rebooting the West: The US, Europe and the Future of the Western Alliance (2009).
