Cyber attack
One thing that is quite striking about this particular attack and emphasises the scale of it, is the fact the cyber criminals are asking the victims to contact them, rather than contacting them directly. Normally you would receive a ransom demand from the criminals that would be tailored to your organisation but because of the scale of this they just don’t have the capacity to sift through all the data at this point.
