Finance and Security in Brief: Sanctions and the Global South

In this video from our 'Finance and Security in Brief' series, Tom Keatinge, Director of CFS at RUSI, discusses why the West has struggled to secure support for sanctions against Russia from the Global South.

Tom highlights that sanctions are only effective with widespread implementation. He also emphasises the importance of economic security for Global South nations, as failing to implement sanctions could jeopardise their access to global markets and funding.
