Recording: Berlin and the Cold War: A Conversation with John Kampfner

John Kampfner’s book paints a vivid multi-dimensional picture of Berlin, a turbulent and beguiling city that has been a military barracks, industrial powerhouse, centre of learning and hotbed of espionage.

The author discusses how Berlin was once the fulcrum of the Cold War. Drawing on interviews with writers and historians, he focuses on the behaviour of the Soviets in the eastern part of the city.
