It’s right to have soldiers on the streets but not in the long term

It is a good thing that it is not normal in the UK to have our armed forces deployed among us like this in a policing role and it is rightly an uncomfortable feeling. We all want to know that it has been done only as a last resort and only because it is essential, not a knee-jerk response to catch the public eye during an election.
