Call to halt flow of criminals’ cash through City with US-style sanctions

The Royal United Services Institute says US legislation which allows the authorities to freeze the assets of those deemed to be involved in drug trafficking or other organised crime could be used here to prevent foreign criminals laundering profits through the City.
