Brexit has enabled us to act more swiftly on sanctions

While the EU’s failure to agree on Belarus sanctions in a timely fashion, and the UK’s ability to move swiftly ahead regardless, might be just that — a function of timing — it might also mark the beginning of the end of the UK’s influence on European sanctions policy and a decades-long sanctions partnership.
